26 September 2014: For the third consecutive meet, the South Carolina cross country team walked away with a win, claiming the Charlotte Invitational with 37 points in the squad's first 6K race of the season. The Gamecocks were 25 points clear of Samford, which finished in second place, and Davidson, which took third with 74 points at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
